Video replays of doctor visits may boost quality of life for ALS patients

NCT ID NCT07454733

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving people with ALS and their caregivers video recordings of their clinic visits helps them feel better and manage care more easily. About 800 participants (400 patient-caregiver pairs) from eight U.S. sites will be split into two groups: one gets standard written visit summaries, and the other gets both written summaries and video recordings they can watch at home. The goal is to see if the video group reports better quality of life over 12 months.
