Heart attack patients may benefit from a simple educational video before procedure

NCT ID NCT07424482

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a short educational video, shown alongside standard information, can help first-time heart attack patients better understand their upcoming heart catheterization and feel less anxious. About 140 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard information alone or standard information plus the video. The goal is to see if the video improves patient knowledge and reduces anxiety before the procedure.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, low-cost way to improve patient understanding and reduce anxiety in emergency heart care.
