First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding local muscle vibration to standard rehabilitation can help elderly patients (75+) recover muscle strength and mobility after hip fracture surgery. The treatment involves 30-minute vibration sessions, 5 times a week for 4 weeks. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable for patients and staff, with early estimates of its effect on muscle recovery.
