3-Session breakthrough therapy aims to curb veteran aggression
NCT ID NCT04793776
Summary
This study is testing a brief 3-session therapy called MERA that teaches emotion regulation skills to help veterans with PTSD reduce aggressive behavior. The research will compare MERA to standard care in 204 combat veterans who have served since 9/11 and struggle with aggression. The goal is to help veterans better manage trauma-related emotions and potentially prepare them for further PTSD treatment.
