Headphones with voice reminders may calm patients waking from anesthesia

NCT ID NCT07510516

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether playing a recorded voice that reminds patients where they are can reduce agitation after waking from anesthesia. About 62 adults having laparoscopic abdominal surgery will either hear the voice notes through headphones or receive standard care. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach helps patients wake up more calmly.
