NCT ID NCT07254611
First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 15 older adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who were taking a chemotherapy combination (azacitidine or decitabine plus venetoclax) along with an antifungal drug (posaconazole) to prevent infections. The goal was to measure how posaconazole changes venetoclax levels in the blood, especially in the first days of treatment, to find the safest dose. The research aimed to reduce side effects without making the treatment less effective.
