First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This phase 3 trial compares two conditioning regimens before stem cell transplant in adults over 50 with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome. One group gets standard chemotherapy (fludarabine + melphalan), the other adds venetoclax, a targeted pill. The goal is to see if adding venetoclax improves survival without severe graft-versus-host disease. About 186 participants will be enrolled.
