Blood protein may forecast kidney failure in septic shock
NCT ID NCT06072508
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether levels of a protein called vasorin in the blood can help predict how severe kidney injury will be in people with septic shock. Researchers measured vasorin in 50 intensive care patients and checked if it was linked to death or long-term kidney problems. The goal was to find an early warning sign for kidney damage, not to test a treatment.
