First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This completed study from Northwestern University looked at how common and bothersome hot flashes, night sweats, and other vasomotor symptoms are in women shortly after a hysterectomy where at least one ovary was kept. Twenty women aged 35 to 50 completed surveys before surgery and again two weeks after to track changes. The goal was to better understand these symptoms in the short term after surgery.
