New study tests if vein-finding cameras make IV placement in kids quicker and less painful
NCT ID NCT07315711
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether using a device that helps see veins under the skin can make placing an IV in children faster and with fewer needle sticks. About 500 children under 18 who need an IV for day surgery or other procedures will take part. Researchers will compare the time and number of attempts between those who get the imaging help and those who do not.
