New hope for veterans who smoke but Aren't ready to quit

Summary
This study aims to help veterans who smoke but aren't ready to quit completely. It compares two medications—varenicline (Chantix) and nicotine lozenges—to see which better helps people reduce smoking and eventually make a quit attempt. 400 veterans across three VA hospitals will receive 12 weeks of medication and phone counseling focused on cutting down.
