First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if quinine could be used as a marker to detect aspiration (leakage of fluids into the lungs) in critically ill patients on breathing machines. The plan was to collect samples from the mouth and windpipe to measure quinine levels. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
