First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests two non-invasive devices that stimulate the vagus nerve (one on the neck, one on the ear) to see which better reduces physical discomfort and health-related anxiety in people with Somatic Symptom Disorder. About 60 adults will try both devices in random order, each for two weeks, with a break in between. The goal is to find a safe, drug-free way to ease symptoms.
