Zap your vagus nerve to boost memory? stanford investigates

NCT ID NCT07214194

Summary

This study aims to see if a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of the vagus nerve can help improve memory formation in healthy older adults. Researchers will compare the effects in older adults (65-80) to younger adults (18-30) and investigate whether the results are connected to the participants' gut and brain health. The goal is to gather knowledge about how memory works in aging, not to treat a disease.
