Scientists test vaccine to stop cancer before it starts in High-Risk patients

NCT ID NCT05419011

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of a three-part vaccine and an immune system booster can prevent colon and other cancers in people with Lynch syndrome, a genetic condition that greatly increases cancer risk. The vaccine aims to train the body's immune system to recognize and destroy precancerous cells before they turn into cancer. About 186 participants will receive either the vaccine combination or a placebo and be monitored for two years with regular colonoscopies.
