VA launches program to ease burden on rural caregivers

Summary
This study aims to help family and friends who care for seriously ill older veterans living in rural areas. It will test whether connecting these caregivers with a trained community health worker for six months can reduce their stress and improve their satisfaction with care. The health worker will help caregivers find support services in their community and through the VA system.
