Summary
This study tests whether an educational video and follow-up phone sessions can help veterans start proven weight loss treatments. It involves 440 veterans who are overweight or have obesity but aren't currently in a weight management program. The goal is to see if this simple educational approach increases participation in behavioral programs, medication use, or surgery referrals.
