AI reads rehab diaries to predict recovery
NCT ID NCT07595614
First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether analyzing the weekly written stories of people in rehab for drug or alcohol addiction can help track their emotional and mental progress. About 35 adult men in a residential treatment center in Mexico will write about their feelings and challenges, and fill out questionnaires every two weeks. Researchers will use computer programs to find patterns in the writing that might show early signs of getting better or worse, but the study does not change their usual care.
