NCT ID NCT06990256
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing whether two dietary supplements, urolithin A and fisetin, can improve sleep quality and reduce signs of aging in middle-aged and older adults. Eighty participants aged 30-75 with poor sleep will take one of the supplements, a combination, or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure sleep using questionnaires and overnight monitoring, and check aging markers like inflammation and DNA changes in blood and stool samples.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Urolithin A and Fisetin (dietary supplements)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple nutritional supplement strategy to improve sleep quality and slow certain aspects of aging.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The supplements may show no benefit over placebo, and long-term effects are unknown.
