First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study examined 346 adults who had kidney stone surgery to see if changes in their urine test results before the operation could predict fever or serious infection afterward. Researchers tracked white blood cells and nitrite levels in urine samples taken at different times. The goal was to find a faster, simpler way to identify patients at higher risk for complications.
