Scientists probe how hearing aids help aging brains tune out noise

Summary
This study looks at how older adults with hearing loss understand speech in noisy environments, and how hearing aids can help. Researchers will test 121 people with normal hearing and hearing loss using listening tasks and brain wave measurements. The goal is to find out which hearing aid settings work best for each person based on their ability to separate sounds in space.
