Summary
This study looks at how older adults with hearing loss understand speech in noisy settings, and how hearing aids can help. Researchers will test 121 people, including young and older adults with normal hearing and older adults with hearing loss. They will measure both behavior (like identifying numbers in a stream of words) and brain activity to see how the brain separates sounds. The goal is to find out which hearing aid settings work best for each person.
