NCT ID NCT04680117
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This completed study looked at 54 children with severe asthma to better understand the different biological features (endotypes) of the disease. Researchers collected blood, saliva, and nasal samples, along with lung samples from bronchoscopies, to analyze immune cells, metabolism, and microbes. The goal was to identify distinct subtypes of severe asthma in children aged 0 to 12 years, which could eventually lead to more tailored treatments.
