First seen Nov 04, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study involved 15 people with Parkinson's disease who had a deep brain stimulator (DBS) implanted. They walked through a virtual reality environment designed to trigger freezing of gait while their brain signals were recorded. The goal was to better understand what happens in the brain during these freezing episodes, not to test a new treatment.
