First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study will interview 15 adults with stricturing Crohn's disease to learn which symptoms matter most to them and what early warning signs they notice. Researchers hope to use this information to create a better clinical assessment score. Participants will have a one-hour interview, either in person or by video, and can review their own transcript.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could lead to better tools for doctors to assess and monitor stricturing Crohn's disease, improving patient care.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small, early-stage qualitative study with only 15 participants, so findings may not apply to all patients. It does not test any treatment.
