NCT ID NCT07472738

First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at how people with chronic lung diseases like COPD and asthma experience breathing difficulty. Some feel severe distress with mild issues, while others notice little even with poor lung function. Researchers will group 950 participants (800 patients and 150 healthy volunteers) based on this perception, using questionnaires, lung tests, blood work, and brain scans. No new treatments are given—the goal is to better understand these differences to improve personalized care in the future.
