Umbilical vein graft could offer new option for bladder leakage

NCT ID NCT06678984

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether a treated umbilical vein graft works as well as the standard sling made from a woman's own tissue to treat stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or exercising). About 96 women will receive one of the two surgical treatments and be followed for a year with pad tests and bladder diaries. The goal is to see if the new graft is a safe and effective alternative.
