Cord blood plasma shows promise for womb lining repair
NCT ID NCT05095597
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early study tested whether platelet-rich plasma from donated umbilical cord blood could help thicken the womb lining in 15 women with thin endometrium, Asherman's syndrome, or endometrial atrophy. Researchers injected the plasma into the uterus and measured lining thickness before and after treatment. The goal was to see if this approach could prepare the womb for embryo transfer, but results are preliminary and more research is needed.
