Ultrasound may slash radiation and costs for Kids' elbow breaks

Summary
This study tests whether using ultrasound instead of X-rays can diagnose elbow fractures in children more efficiently. About 225 kids with elbow pain will be randomly assigned to get an ultrasound or an X-ray. Researchers will compare costs, radiation exposure, time spent in the ER, and patient satisfaction between the two groups.
