First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested two methods for numbing a nerve cluster (sphenopalatine ganglion) during sinus surgery to reduce bleeding and improve the surgeon's view. 60 adults having sinus surgery under general anesthesia received either an ultrasound-guided or a Brainlab navigation-guided nerve block. The goal was to see which method provides a clearer surgical field and better patient stability during the procedure.
