First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study aims to develop a computer program that can automatically identify arteries and bones from ultrasound images taken during surgery. The goal is to use this information to help surgeons navigate more accurately when removing abdominal tumors. Fifty adult patients scheduled for abdominal surgery will have ultrasound images collected and compared with pre-operative CT scans to test the program's accuracy.
