Holding your breath could make cancer radiation safer and stronger

NCT ID NCT07594691

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new way to give radiation for abdominal cancer. By having patients hold their breath at different points (inhale and exhale) during treatment, doctors aim to deliver a higher dose to the tumor while protecting nearby healthy organs. The study will enroll 15 adults whose tumors are close to sensitive organs. The goal is to see if this technique improves treatment without increasing side effects.
