Handheld scanners could revolutionize how doctors spot childhood liver disease

NCT ID NCT06706856

Summary

This study is testing new ultrasound analysis techniques to detect and measure fatty liver disease in children without invasive procedures. Researchers will enroll 120 children aged 9-18 who have risk factors for fatty liver disease. They'll compare the accuracy of these new ultrasound methods, including possible handheld devices, against standard MRI liver scans.
