First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a gentle ultrasound treatment aimed at a deep brain area (the hippocampus) to see if it can improve sleep and memory in older adults with early signs of Alzheimer's. Twenty participants aged 60-85 with mild memory issues and poor sleep will receive either real or fake (sham) ultrasound over two weeks. Researchers will track sleep quality, memory tests, and blood markers to check safety and effectiveness.
