Summary

This study looked at whether using an ultrasound during surgery helps doctors choose the best way to remove endometriosis from the rectum. Ten adult patients with deep pelvic endometriosis took part. Doctors performed an ultrasound before and after shaving off the endometriosis to see if a more extensive removal was needed. The goal was to see if the ultrasound changed the surgical plan in at least 2 out of 10 cases.
