Needle-Free carpal tunnel diagnosis on the horizon?
NCT ID NCT07486284
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study explores whether ultrasound elastography, a non-invasive imaging technique, can accurately diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) without the need for painful needle-based nerve tests. Researchers will enroll 80 participants—some with CTS and some healthy volunteers—to compare ultrasound results with standard electrodiagnostic tests. If successful, this could offer a faster, more comfortable way to diagnose CTS.
