First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive technique called transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) can safely improve thinking, movement, and quality of life in people with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Twenty adults aged 18-80 with these conditions will receive TUS, and researchers will measure changes in motor skills, mood, and daily function. The goal is to see if this gentle sound-wave approach can ease symptoms without surgery or medication.
