First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether people with tinnitus could tell if they were receiving real or fake (sham) ultrasound stimulation to the vagus nerve in the ear. Twenty adults with constant tinnitus for at least six months took part. The goal was to see how well the blinding worked and what side effects occurred, not to treat the tinnitus itself.
