Ultra-Processed foods under the microscope: new study targets hidden health effects
NCT ID NCT07634159
First seen Jun 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026
Summary
This study aims to find out if eating a lot of ultra-processed foods (like packaged snacks and sugary drinks) directly harms appetite and heart health, even without weight gain. Researchers will compare a high-UPF diet to a low-UPF diet in 40 healthy adults aged 20-60. Participants will eat both diets in a random order, and scientists will measure hormones, blood fats, and body changes.
