First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests a shorter, 5-day radiation treatment for women aged 50 and older with early-stage breast cancer or DCIS. The goal is to see if this ultra-fast approach is as safe and effective as longer courses, with fewer side effects and less disruption to daily life. About 90 participants will receive whole breast radiation plus a targeted boost to the tumor site, all in one week.
