New heart stent designed to dissolve safely inside arteries
NCT ID NCT05677711
Summary
This study followed 204 patients with blocked heart arteries who received a new type of stent called Ultimaster. The stent is coated with a medicine to prevent re-narrowing and has a special coating that dissolves over 3-4 months, which researchers hope will reduce long-term risks compared to older stents. The goal was to check how safe and effective this new stent is in everyday medical practice over one year.
