New heart scanner could spot pumping problems before pacemaker surgery

NCT ID NCT06641362

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a new device called UHF-ECG that measures the heart's electrical signals in more detail than a standard ECG. It aims to see if it can better detect when the heart's lower chambers are not pumping together (ventricular dyssynchrony) in 360 adults with slow heartbeats or heart failure who need a pacemaker. The results could help doctors plan more effective pacemaker treatments.
