First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new daily pill called TYRA-430 in 100 adults with advanced liver cancer or other solid tumors that have specific genetic changes. The main goals are to find the safest dose and check for side effects. Researchers will also look for signs that the drug shrinks tumors.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TYRA-430 (an oral drug that targets specific genetic changes in cancer cells)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with advanced liver cancer or other solid tumors that have certain genetic changes.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 study, so the drug may not work or could have serious side effects. It is only for people with specific genetic changes, so it won't help everyone.
