Four-Drug cocktail aims to halt type 1 diabetes in its tracks
NCT ID NCT02586831
Summary
This study aimed to test whether a combination of four drugs could help people recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes keep making their own insulin. The goal was to see if this treatment could protect the body's remaining insulin-producing cells better than a placebo. The trial was designed for adults aged 18-35 diagnosed within the last 120 days, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
