Summary
This study aims to understand the step-by-step process that leads to type 1 diabetes. Researchers will follow 4,000 participants, including families affected by the disease and healthy volunteers, for up to 10 years. They will collect blood samples and health information to learn how genetics and the immune system interact to cause the condition.
