Simple blood test could spot hidden diabetes risk in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07279922

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple calculation based on two common blood tests (triglycerides and glucose) can predict insulin resistance in people with early-stage kidney disease who are also at risk for diabetes. Researchers will enroll 60 adults without diabetes to test this method as a potential easier and cheaper alternative to more complex tests. The goal is to find better tools for early detection to help prevent diabetes in this vulnerable group.
