Simple blood test may spot insulin resistance early in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07279922

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple calculation called the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index can help predict insulin resistance in people who have both pre-diabetes and chronic kidney disease. Researchers will compare the TyG index with standard tests in 60 adults. If successful, this could offer a cheaper, non-invasive way to identify those at risk.
