First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of camera called Texture and Colour Enhancement Imaging (TXI) to see if it finds more abnormal cells (dysplasia) in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) compared to standard white light endoscopy. About 219 adults with IBD will have both types of colonoscopy to compare results. The goal is to improve early detection of changes that could lead to cancer.
