First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether tranexamic acid, a drug that helps blood clot, can reduce blood loss during planned hip replacement surgery. About 1000 adults having elective hip replacement will receive the drug directly into the joint during surgery. The goal is to see if it lowers the need for blood transfusions and speeds up recovery.
