Could a common drug make Kids' hip surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT04811313

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called tranexamic acid (TXA) can reduce blood loss and the need for blood transfusions in children undergoing major hip reconstruction surgery. Researchers will compare 400 children who receive TXA during surgery to those who do not. The goal is to see if TXA makes the procedure safer by lowering bleeding risks and related complications.
