First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving children a medicine called tranexamic acid (TXA) during hip reconstruction surgery can reduce blood loss and the need for blood transfusions. About 400 children scheduled for hip surgery will be randomly assigned to receive TXA or a placebo. The goal is to see if TXA makes surgery safer by lowering bleeding and complications.
